From 22-29 May 2026 , riders from all over the world will come together for “Peloponnese Tour ” to challenge themselves in this unique bike odyssey where history, nature, and adventure intertwine in the heart of South Greece.
To this Tour are welcome riders of all levels ,ranging from semi-professional cyclists looking for an ideal training opportunity, regional amateur champions, cycling lovers who love endurance group rides, but also beginners who want to step up to the challenge and discover this part of Greece on two wheels, village by village, stage by stage.
The Tour consists of 6 individual stages, in which we will wind our way through the spectacular region of Peloponnese which is located in the South of Greece and is famously known for its jutting peninsulas and coastal towns.
This unique cycling journey is a passage through Greece’s intricate historical tapestry. Delight in the local cuisine, immerse yourselves in every city’s heritage, and find relaxation in its luxury accommodations.

Friday 22 May 2026 (Arrival day)
Book your flights with final destination to Athens International Airport . Upon your arrival you will be transferred to our accommodation hotel in Athens.
Saturday 23 May 2026 ( Transfer day – no cycling)
On May 23rd after breakfast we will depart from Athens and all participants will be transferred by bus to Kalavrita through Diakofto..
From Diakofto we will take the famous railway line, the Odontotos Railway, which has been described as the most spectacular in the Balkans! It connects Diakofto with Kalavrita, tirelessly climbing since 1896 , the incomparable beauty of the Vouraikos Gorge, which is worth admiring in all seasons of the year.
The Vouraikos Canyon is among the Global Network of Geoparks, which was established under the auspices of UNESCO, and a geological monument of world heritage. This natural richness of the Greek geological heritage can be admired in a magical journey with the cog of Kalavryta.
Odontotos travels a distance of 22,350 metres, crossing 49 bridges and landscapes of rare natural beauty, reaching the town of Kalavrita in 60 minutes.
Kalavrita is a wonderful mountainous historical village with natural beauty that will surely pique your attention and earn your admiration.

TRANSFER DAY FROM ATHENS TO KALAVRITA

KALAVRITA-ANCIENT OLYMPIA

The day kicks off in Kalavryta, a charming mountain town steeped in history. Cyclists set off on high-performance race bikes, carving their way through winding roads and lush fir forests.
Passing through Priolithos and Aroania, the route climbs steadily, offering panoramic views of the northern Peloponnesian landscape. Riders continue through Agridi and descend towards Psofida, a tranquil village nestled among forested slopes.
From there, the group pedals on to Tripotama, and up to Lambia — a picturesque village where the team takes a short break for rest and replenishment. Surrounded by stone houses and verdant hills, it’s the perfect spot to catch your breath and recharge.
Back on the saddle, the cyclists head towards Lalas, followed by Ancient Pisa, a land of myth and ruins that whispers stories of Olympic glory. Soon, they arrive at the Ancient Stadium of Olympia, where the first Olympic athletes once competed thousands of years ago.
The stage ends in Ancient Olympia, with riders checking in at the Europa Olympia Hotel, a cozy retreat surrounded by olive groves and the echoes of antiquity.

MONDAY 25/5/2026
ANCIENT OLYMPIA – KALAMATA

The journey begins in Ancient Olympia, where the echoes of athletic glory set the tone for another epic ride. Cyclists roll out through the countryside, passing Flokas, Makrisia, and Krestena, with gentle hills and olive groves lining the route.
The pace picks up as riders reach Chani Gryllou, Barakitia, and Kallithea, before climbing toward the mountain village of Andritsaina. Here, the peloton pauses in the heart of the village for a well-earned break—local refreshments and a breath of crisp mountain air.
Back on the saddle, the route winds through Kakaletri, Stasimo, Sirrizo, and Dimandra, with short ascents and sweeping descents. The terrain becomes more rugged as cyclists pass Kato Melpia, Agrilovouno, and Diavolitsi, before reaching the fertile plains near Kentriko, Zevgolatio, and Meligalas.
The second major stop of the day is the enchanting village of Ancient Messene, where riders can choose to end their ride. After a hearty meal at a traditional taverna, participants may opt for a transfer to Kalamata and check in at the Horizon Blue Hotel.
For those who wish to push further, the final leg offers an additional 37 km of scenic cycling through the Messinian landscape, ending triumphantly in Kalamata, with the sea breeze and sunset as your reward.

TUESDAY 26/5/2026
KALAMATA-SPARTA-GYTHEON

The day begins in Kalamata, a coastal city known for its olives and sea breeze. Cyclists mount their race bikes and head inland, ascending toward Artemisia, a mountain village nestled on the slopes of Mount Taygetos.
The climb is steep and timed—a true test of endurance. At the summit, riders enjoy a quick refresh, surrounded by panoramic views of the Peloponnese. Then comes the thrilling descent toward Agios Vasileios and Tripiti, winding through pine forests and rocky terrain.
The route leads into Sparta, where the group pauses for commemorative photos at the statue of the legendary King Leonidas—a moment of pride and inspiration.
From Sparta, the journey continues through Anogeia, Paleopanagia, and Xirokambi, where cyclists stop briefly in the village square for rest and local nourishment.
The final stretch winds through Kaminia and Patamia, before reaching the seaside town of Gythio, with its neoclassical charm and harbor views. Riders settle in at the Las Hotel, ready to relax after a day of mountain climbs, heroic landmarks, and coastal beauty.
STAGE 4
WEDNESDAY 27/5/2026
GYTHEON – MONEMVASIA

The day begins in the coastal town of Gythio, with its colorful harbor and island charm. Cyclists set off on race bikes, heading southeast through the fertile plains of Leimonas and Elos, where olive groves stretch as far as the eye can see.
The route continues through Asteri, Glykovrysi, and Elea, with gentle rolling terrain and glimpses of the Myrtoan Sea. Riders pass through Asopos, Papadianika, and Demonia, each village offering a snapshot of traditional Peloponnesian life.
The road begins to undulate as the group reaches Elika, Foutia, and Xifias, with short climbs and sweeping descents. A brief stop in Agia Paraskevi allows for rest and refreshments in a quiet village square.
The final stretch leads to the majestic rock of Monemvasia, rising dramatically from the sea. Riders cross the narrow causeway and enter the medieval fortress town, where stone alleys and Byzantine churches await. It’s a breathtaking finish to a coastal and cultural journey.
STAGE 5
THURSDAY 28/5/2026
MONEMVASIA – POULITHRA

The day begins in the medieval fortress town of Monemvasia, perched on a rock rising from the sea. Cyclists roll out on race bikes, ready to conquer the most demanding and majestic stage of the challenge.
The route hugs the coastline through Gialos and Ierakas, with shimmering sea views and winding roads. Riders ascend toward Agios Ioannis, then tackle the rugged terrain of Belesaika, Richea, and Koulouraika, where the climbs become steeper and the landscape more dramatic.
Passing through Lampokampos and Pistamata, the peloton reaches Charakas, a mountain village surrounded by pine forests. The descent into Kyparissi offers breathtaking views of the Aegean, followed by a climb to Mitropoli and the windswept cape of Kavo Kortia.
The route continues through Fokiano, Pigadi, and Pyrgoudi, with narrow roads and challenging gradients. Riders push through Pano Geitonia, before the final descent into Poulithra, a serene coastal village where the day ends.
Cyclists settle in at the Smyros Resort, nestled by the sea—an idyllic reward after a stage filled with climbs, coastal beauty, and heroic effort.

FRIDAY 29/5/2026
POULITHRA – NAFPLION

START TIME : 09:00
The final day begins in the coastal village of Poulithra, where the sea sparkles and anticipation runs high. Cyclists mount their race bikes and head north, gliding through Plaka and into the dramatic cliffs surrounding Leonidio, a town famed for its red rock and climbing culture.
The route hugs the coastline through Tyros, Agios Andreas, and Korakovouni, with the Aegean Sea shimmering to the right and lush hills rising to the left. Riders pass through Koutoufa and Agia Anastasia, where the terrain begins to undulate gently.
The peloton rolls into Astros, a seaside town with neoclassical charm, then continues through Chania, Kiveri, and Myloi, each village offering glimpses of traditional life and warm hospitality.
The grand finale unfolds in Nafplio, one of Greece’s most romantic towns, with its Venetian fortress, cobbled streets, and sea views. Cyclists celebrate their achievement with a well-deserved stay at the Amalia Hotel, surrounded by gardens and the echoes of history.
