The journey begins in Ancient Olympia, where the echoes of athletic glory set the tone for another epic ride. Cyclists roll out through the countryside, passing Flokas, Makrisia, and Krestena, with gentle hills and olive groves lining the route.
The pace picks up as riders reach Chani Gryllou, Barakitia, and Kallithea, before climbing toward the mountain village of Andritsaina. Here, the peloton pauses in the heart of the village for a well-earned break—local refreshments and a breath of crisp mountain air.
Back on the saddle, the route winds through Kakaletri, Stasimo, Sirrizo, and Dimandra, with short ascents and sweeping descents. The terrain becomes more rugged as cyclists pass Kato Melpia, Agrilovouno, and Diavolitsi, before reaching the fertile plains near Kentriko, Zevgolatio, and Meligalas.
The second major stop of the day is the enchanting village of Ancient Messene, where riders can choose to end their ride. After a hearty meal at a traditional taverna, participants may opt for a transfer to Kalamata and check in at the Horizon Blue Hotel.
For those who wish to push further, the final leg offers an additional 37 km of scenic cycling through the Messinian landscape, ending triumphantly in Kalamata, with the sea breeze and sunset as your reward.
