1ST day
Meet at Heraklion in the morning towards Milatos, a charming traditional village 50 km east of Heraklion.Coffee time and breakfast on the beach of Milatos with a perfect view at the sea.We start from the village of Milatos and ascend to Milatos cave, where in 1823 Turks massacred their inhabitants.As we continue by passing through villages of the area, which most of them retain their traditional architecture Stone houses have arched entrances, ornate walls from stone and beautiful monasteries.We make a stop at Fournoi village for coffee and resting. Ascend to the village of Karudi, which very close we see the Kardamoutsa and Aretiou monastery, architecture of Agion Oros with interesting collections of Byzantine icons of the Cretan Philosophy.Passing through the villages and Skinias and Louma we arrive at Vrouha village and descend to the Plaka beach. This route offers a panorama of the bay of Elounda and Spinalonga island with perfect waters.

2ND day
We are Starting from the capital of the prefecture, the cosmopolitan city of Agios Nikolaos. We take a short walk through the town and head west towards Kritsa village.
Kritsa (altitude of 300 meters) is at the root of Kokkinos Braxos (red rock ) located on Kastelli village. The village has beautiful view of Mirabello Bay. As we leaving Kritsa we are heading north and 3 km we see old city of Lato, placed on a overlooking the sea and Lassithi mountains.
As we Descend and continue our journey from small traditional villages of the area, we offer a panorama of nature with aromatic pines and eucalyptus.
We arrive in picturesque Neapolh, a small town with a beautiful public garden and neoclassical mansions. We continue with the last part of our journey, by passing from the traditional and beautiful Latsida and Vrachasi village, and at last we arrive at the beach of Milatos. Transfer returns us to Heraklion.
